I work in the design, maintenance, and implementation of an organizational wide database at the MesoAmerican Research Center that is focused on making our data free and available via our ArcGIS Online web map. In addition, I manage a team of students who use LiDAR scans at the ancient Maya site of El Pilar to understand the efficacy of this technology in guiding boots-on-the-ground archaeological surveys. Under the guidance of Dr. Anabel Ford, our team has documented over 1,000 archaeological sites in the past 8 years.
