Jessica Golden

B.S. Geography (Geospatial Data Analysis) Student, Cal Poly Pomona

Jessica Golden is a senior undergraduate student at Cal Poly Pomona, earning a bachelor of science degree in Geography with a study emphasis in Geospatial Data Analysis. Jessica graduated from Pasadena City College in 2019 with a GIS technical skills certificate and two associates degrees in Geography and Natural Sciences. In May 2019, she presented and won third place at CGS with her GIS research of the “Impacts of Hurricane Harvey on Coastal Texas Superfund Sites”. Jessica's recent professional experience includes two GIS internships that involve building databases for use in spatial asset management. Her academic interests are in natural resource management and data science. Jessica enjoys learning about technology and the world around her through the lens of a geographer and analyst. Jessica's favorite topics in school are remote sensing, scripting/coding, drone flight, and field survey/data collection. She hopes to continue her education and research in graduate school and become an expert in her field.
