Statewide Lidar Planning for California Part 2
The California Department of Conservation will lead a discussion of the status of planning to collect statewide lidar coverage for California. An evolving State LiDAR plan will be open for discussion and feedback related to: minimum LiDAR specifications, repeat coverage timing, standard derived products, distribution, use cases, costs, benefits, return on investment, funding opportunities, and collaborations between stakeholders. A brief discussion of the state budget item related to LiDAR will be included.

California GIS Council
Learn about the role of the California GIS Council in promoting the understanding of the use and benefits of GIS as well as facilitating cooperation throughout the State of California by supporting the collection, acquisition, sharing, and dissemination of GIS data, standards, and policies.
Council Chair Carlos Isaac Cabrera and Vice Chair Jane Schafer-Kramer will lead the conversation and provide updates on Council activities.

Council membership is open and is comprised of individuals with expertise and experience representing their affiliated institutions (government, tribal, academic, nonprofit, or private) or professional associations.
