Baselining & Blueprinting Your GIS (Understanding Now, Next, After Next) - Mini Workshop

GIS has become a critical operational technology for many organizations and supports many use cases. Within this operational environment, GIS enables a wide variety of systems where it either hosts critical information required for these related systems or receives input from these systems.

Unfortunately, for most organizations, the organic growth of GIS has happened with little consideration for managing dependencies, governance, and technology sustainment. This approach is causing uncertainty and risk with GIS upgrades and modernization initiatives. This presentation will provide an overview of the baselining and blueprinting techniques for Managers, Supervisors, Architects, Analysts, Programmers in GIS and IT departments leveraging dashboards.

The documentation and management of changes related to customizations, configurations, maps, applications, data models, and interfaces reduce risk and also improves collaboration between stakeholders. This presentation describes the use of ArcGIS Pro, Insights for ArcGIS, Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS, and Avineon’s Model Manager to achieve your baselining and blueprinting goals.
