More Effective with Games (Half-Day)
Sunday, February 9, 2020 - 8:30 AM - 12:00 Noon
Instructor:
Tim Nolan, GISP, CGCIO, Applications Manager, Collin County, McKinney, TX

Many of us love games in our youth. As we got older, we stopped playing as much as we used to. Why did we stop playing? We learned through games in our earlier years. We can continue to learn through games now. Games can an excellent way to accelerate creative work and understand problems. In this hands-on workshop we will use games as a method to make your work more effective. Plus, we will have fun doing it. We will cover techniques to visualize your work and limiting your work-in-progress. We will conduct games that will teach us ways to rethink how we approach problems. We will even demonstrate the misconception of multitasking. Finally, we will wrap up the workshop with a nice #LeanCoffee

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  • Will learn personal management and prioritization
  • Explore the value of games
  • Learn/Facilitate effectiveness through games

OUTLINE:
  • Personal Kanban
  • Games on Flow
  • Learn/Facilitate a #LeanCoffee discussion
